What is the Sharefest Workday?

The Sharefest Workday is an annual community-building and service day that mobilizes thousands of volunteers of all ages to work on community projects designed to meet tangible needs. We paint, clean, plant, refurbish, and beautify schools, parks, and public facilities at no cost to recipients, thanks to our donors and supporters. For 11 years, Sharefest has joined volunteers and organizations in the greater South Bay and L.A. Harbor areas to create positive change in their communities. See what happened at the 2014 Workday.

When is the Workday?

The 12th Annual Workday takes place Saturday, May 2, 2015.

Where is the Sharefest Workday?

The Workday takes place at multiple project locations throughout the greater South Bay and L.A. Harbor areas.

Who benefits?

Everyone! As a volunteer, you will end the day with the satisfaction of making a difference in your community. As a recipient organization, you will see a dream come true for little to no cost. Your life will be changed as a result of giving your time, talent, and treasure to serving others in your community. You’ll have an amazing experience as cultures, skills, personalities, and people of all ages come together to create an imprint of lasting positive change.

How can my organization Submit a Project?

Sharefest accepts beautification project applications from schools, cities, and nonprofit groups in the greater South Bay and L.A. Harbor areas. We will begin accepting project proposals in January 2015, and all submissions will be due in early February. Check back during that time to complete the Submit a Project form. Review the FAQs for more information.

How does my organization Adopt a Project?

We are always looking for churches, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community groups to partner with us and adopt these beautification projects. Our project adoption phase will begin in February 2015, so be sure to check back then to view the available project opportunities. For more information on adopting a project, please review the FAQs or email us at workday@sharefestinc.org.

How do I Volunteer at a Project?

Volunteer registration is a snap with our online registration system! If you're interested in volunteering for the 2015 Workday, check back in March when our sign-up phase begins. View the volunteer FAQs to learn more.
