saying goodbye - yda comes to a bittersweet end

Everything must come to an end—fun, summer, and even camp. Today, students showed up for their last day of Sharefest's Summer YDA.

Upon arrival, they performed their daily routine: breakfast, watermelon tai chi, pool time; however, there was a special activity in store for them.

Throughout camp, counselors and students participated in many activities together and got to know each other very well. Today, the counselors, along with the directors of camp, arranged a culmination ceremony for the students, a time for them to be recognized for their unique characteristics and talents. Each student received their own personalized award, and at the end, everyone was surprised with a video composed of pictures taken throughout the past few weeks. Students were able to smile and laugh while looking back on all their fun times at camp. They'll take these camp memories with them as they head back to school.

Camp may be over, but it will be back next year. Many students will return as campers, some as jr. counselors. Just like this year, they will grow and learn all while having fun, making new friends, and developing into the leaders of tomorrow.
